1. 2009 - 2010 HACVS TRAINING SEMINARS
A number of courses have been developed as a result of collaborative working between the Councils for Voluntary Service in the North, the Working Together Project and SCIP. This has allowed for a diversity of courses on offer at venues across the North East of the county, resulting in greater availability and choice for our members. In addition, we wish to thank Tanbridge House School for its support in running some of the IT courses on offer.

Each course will be certificated and participants attending will be completing feedback questionnaires so that we are able to monitor delivery and content.

Free Collaboration and Partnership Seminars

NCB are currently running a series of free seminars for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) and faith-based voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations on the theme of collaboration and partnership.

The programme has been developed following feedback from BAMER and faith-based organisations who identified collaboration and partnership as one of the main barriers to successful commissioning.

The event will also offer the chance to meet colleagues, exchange experiences and share knowledge with others working in the children’s services field. The seminars will run once in each of the 9 regions in England and the full list of training dates and information on free places, which can be booked online, can be found at www.vcsengage.org.uk.
