Covers Horsham District and provides on tape news items from WSCT for blind/partially blind people. The service is free and for all ages. The other side of the tape carries items of various interest to our listeners and also birthdays, events etc. Wea re open to all ideas and suggestions.

The Springboard
Project

The Springboard Project is a community based Children’s Centre based in Horsham providing a range of inclusive play and recreational opportunities for a whole range of children and youngsters, including those with additional needs and disabilities.   

There is a wide range of membership groups: 

Cheeky Monkeys is our family membership our “play ‘n stay” scheme.  Springboard House is our Centre for children and their parents (including extended family) to enjoy all our facilities during the week.  Our opening times are from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. 

Bunny Hoppers, Grasshoppers and Outburst provide activities and opportunities specifically for children and young people who have a variety of special needs and may also suffer from some form of disability or condition. “Bunny Hoppers” is the starter group for under 5’s, “Grasshoppers” for children aged between 5 and 12 and Outburst for teenagers. 

We also operate several Buddies satellites in Horsham, Crawley and Mid Sussex for disabled teenagers to enjoy a range of activities during term time with volunteers of their own age group.
