Their aims are to work for the benefit of the residents of Crawley and the surrounding area, in particular those who are of African origin. they offer a signposting service to sources of help for people with difficulties due to financial hardship or ill health, or people seeking help with education, particularly focusing on English. They also provide information about leisure opportunities and respite resource facilities for senior citizens of Ethnic Minorities in Crawley and help by introducing volunteering opportunities within different charities.

The BDA is the voice of dyslexic people. We aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society.The BDA promotes early identification and support in schools to ensure opportunity to learn for dyslexic learners. We want to represent the needs of dyslexic people on leaving school, in higher education and in work.

01403 261265 We are a self support group meeting fortnightly in the Club Room of Horsham Hospital. We have some social events for carers and the person they are caring for. We also take an active part in current developments. A simple newsletter is circulated three or four times a year.

IMPACT Advocacy Service 01903 718260 IMPACT has provided independent advocacy support for adults with learning difficulties since 1995 through the "Help us to Speak" project based in Chichester. A new service, IMPACT Advocacy Service , will now cover the whole of West Sussex with the Crawley and Horsham area having its own advocacy worker.
